Paganism, refers
back to the Latin term "Paganus" meaning:
"people of the earth".
It is defined in Websters dictionary as:
One who does not acknowledge the god of Christianity, Islam or Judaisim.
Pagans are defined as: Anyone who practices an earth religion
Currently practices follow Neo Paganism as there are ties to the ancient pagan religion, but changes and erosion have occured throughout time.
One basic tenet
of Pagan religions is:
All paths to the creative force are valid and to be respected. No one has a corner
on the truth.
This tenet along with the Wiccan/Wittan rede: As ye harm none, do what ye will, reflects
the honor found within the religion of Pagans.
As many pagans
find repression from Christianity,
and those who follow this monothiestic religion.
It is very important for Pagans to remember to follow their own tenet,
and not be equally oppressive of others for their beliefs.
The spiritual practices of Pagans include
self-acceptance and understanding, instead of self-rejection.
There are many paths up the mountain of spiritual understanding, not just one
path.
Paganism is a belief that nature
in all it's infinite wonder is to be revered,
and protected.
Neopagans hold a reverence for the Earth and all its creatures,
and see all life as interconnected,
They strive to attune one's self to the manifestation
of this belief as seen in the cycles of nature.
Pagans see circles of change
and renewal within their own individual life journey's, and those of their ancestors.
Magic is a special part of a Pagans spirituality,
that which we all possess and have the right to use,
with no harm to another as our law.
