Here is a new high score for you. I would have kept playing level 49 to bump up the score a little more but I will be going out of town for the holiday and I didn't want to leave the computer on. Oh by the way my name is Gary Kleist. I live in Webster NY which is outside of Rochester.

Another nice feature that they should have added to Jezzball is a way to start at any level that you want (levels 1-30 are pretty boring)

I had sent you one note awhile back. This past month and a half have been crazy for me. My father-in-law is in the hospital and my wife has been away caring for him and her mother and I was mobilized with my Guard unit to help with disaster relief for the upstate NY ice storm (3" of ice over 3 days!!!)

So how did I get the sickness and then beat the game? I first saw Jezzball on a friends computer. I tried it and I was caught. I got the game and began developing techniques to trap those dastardly little atoms. Over the course of several months I was able to get into the 40's and it was there that I realized that sometimes when I tried to build a trap I wasn't loosing any lives! It seems that when the trap "bounces off of the atom you do not loose a life. The next question was how to do that on a regular basis.

When I finished that game I began practicing bouncing traps off of the atom so as not to loose a life. It was then that I first started using the F3 (pause) key. If you pause the game when the atom is just before where you need it, it lets you position the cursor where it need to be and in the direction that you want. Using this technique it is possible to build traps in any direction. The pause key also lets you trap the atom in the smallest of spaces.

Using this method you can do any level, even 49, without loosing a life, and with a play area that is entirely black except for the atoms. The score for the level is dependant on both the time remaining and the percent of area cleared. In level 49 you have a 91% cleared area with all of the atoms trapped and no gray area left. Also the high score that you achieve is really dependant on your patience. You can replay level 49 and many times as you want! So my final score could have been higher but I just needed a break and had to turn the computer off. Now if you could save games I would be in the billions now!

Cool!
