Wanda and Gary's Story

On Sept 27, 1997.  I had been with my Husband for 10 yrs, and loved him totally and completely.  I had a good marriage, but he didn't think so.  I kept hearing for months how he didn't love me anymore, so we kept trying to make it work. On Sept 27 I asked my Husband to leave, it was the hardest thing I have ever done. But I knew it was the right thing.  We had agreed we would try to make it work, being apart for awhile.  He had gotten himself an apartment, and I found out a week after he moved out that he had been having an affair for 6 months.  So after I found this out, we had words, and I filed for divorce.

My Husband had begged me for years to get the Internet in our home, but I was totally against it.  So after he had moved out, and I knew it was over, I decided in October to get the Internet.  I got hooked real fast, and met a lot of different people all over the USA.  But on October 9, 1998, I met this wonderful guy in Virtual Places chat.  I found out he lived in Illinois which is very close to me.  He was kind of new to the chat thing, so I helped him thru some things.  I introduced him to ICQ and VP chat.  He couldn't figure out ICQ, so I gave him my phone number to help walk him thru it.  That was the beginning of a meaningful relationship.

He contacted me every night thru ICQ, and in VP, and after a month he asked me to meet him. I was hesitant, but finally I said sure why not, just as friends.  So we met on Nov 21, 1998 2:00 PM at my house, and well, I got a little tipsy from drinking Vodka and OJ.  I kept drinking after he arrived, and ended up passing out in my bathroom.  I woke up and crawled to my sofa, where I slept until 8:30pm.  When I woke up I felt really bad, and looked outside thinking he probably left, but his car was still there. I wandered into my bedroom, and that's where he was fast asleep with a baby blanket covering him.  I was very embarrassed when he woke up.  But he said don't worry about it, lets go out to dinner, so we went to a Mexican restaurant and had a wonderful dinner. When we got back to my house, I realized I had locked us out, so he had to break my kitchen window and crawl thru to unlock the door.  By this time I figured this will be the first and last date, but to my surprise he wanted to spend Thanksgiving with me.  So we spent 4 glorious days together.  Enjoying each other and getting to know each other.  Since Nov 21st we have spent every weekend together.  He even took me to Minnesota for 4 days to meet his family.  He plans on moving to Indiana the second week in March.  We are so blissfully in love.  I never thought I would ever find another man who I would love as much as I did my Ex-husband.  But now I know the meaning of a Soulmate, and I have definitely found mine.
