Lughnassad

Lughnassad (also known as Lammas), named after Lugh the Celtic sun god, is on August 1st.
On Lughnassad, the God spreads his seeds out over the fields
and is now decreasing in his light.

Lammas marks the time of the harvest, and is a time to reflect on the harvest of our own lives.

Lammas is a time to celebrate life but also death as the harvest is cut down and the sun begins to die.

Lammas is a good time to celebrate with a great harvest or wedding feast to honor the Corn God and the land of the Goddess
