David,

Hi, Its me again to bug you. After seeing what Todd did with this game and his remarkable speed at doing so, I decided it was time to go after the record myself. After having my machine go out during a rain storm and hearing of Todd having to 'start all over' after a power outage, I went out and bought a UPS just to cover that base. Next I put my machine on restrictions (off limits to grandkids), and no one was allowed to use my machine until I finished my game. Starting out on the night of Friday, August 28, at level 1, I spent most of my spare time JezzBalling it. On the afternoon of Sept. 14, I went over the top. Not counting the 50 rounds one has to play just to get to level 49, I played level 49(50 balls)156 times. Since then I have played level 49 another 8 times. Of all these rounds, I cleared the play-field with out loosing any lives 71 times, for an awesome average of 43% (just in level 49 play). I am not even counting the 'perfect' games I played in the lower levels. I will continue to play, with computer restrictions lifted (let the kids crash the damn thing) until I or the kids crash.

My question to you is this What do you need in the form of game images for you and your team of judges? I have saved on floppy, or in this case floppies, every game I played in level 49. I have 8 disks so far (all full), loaded with 164 images. Just ask and you will receive. I really can't see sending you all 164 images. By the way----Todd was right. Putting your mind to it, a truly awesome high score CAN be reached in a very short time.

You are truly a JezzBall friend

David,

jezz onLet me tell you--I'm more than impressed that you would want me to write something about myself and you put it on a your web site.

jezz onI'm a 58 year old electrician, have 5 children and 5 grand-kids. (Number five got here last night).  I fly radio control airplanes as a hobby---been doing so since 1964. I have my computer for about nine months now, and been on line maybe two months.

jezz onI was introduced to JEZZBALL when I bought the ENTERTAINMENT PACKAGE from Microsoft.  Started playing it and couldn't get over 10 or 11 balls.  It became an obsession of sorts---I wanted to know how far it went!  My strategy kind of 'evolved' when I discovered that I could trap the little monsters in a 'cut' and not have then bounce.  Working from the lower left hand side of the bounce field, starting with a 'cut' long enough to trap "X" number of balls, I soon discovered that I could clear up to 98% of the field with the lower number of lives and up to 90 or even 91% in the higher number of lives.   The more balls to deal with--the shorter the cut line would be. such as---lives 2 to 10, I'd cut up to 12 squares using up only one life in the process, up to 40 to 49 lives, I'd cut one square at a time--trap a ball then cut another square.

jezz onI have gotten as many as 21 balls trapped in the bottom row of cuts.  Then I go to the lower left side of the remaining bounce field and start over again.  That's it.  I tried your tips and found that I have no success trapping balls anywhere  on the cuts in the right side of the bounce field (habit I guess).

Thanks for your time

Lionel
